![]() ![]() However given how much of the HRE broke away I am actually a little shocked that the empire didn't dissolve. So with planning and good execution it is definitely possible. I married my daughters to Hungary and Poland for extra insurance too. The HRE has since regained one of the kingdoms, somehow, but I've added several duchies in the meantime and almost have enough of Wendland to usurp the kingdom title so I'm not worried. It was easier than I expected to successfully revolt. ![]() ![]() ![]() The HRE looks like a patchwork quilt now, and Central Europe is a total borders disaster but I'm happy to be out from under the HRE's foot. With all the kings backing me he had no chance. He refused and we started a war which we pretty easily won. Then I just waited for the emperor to start a war with someone and I sent the independence demand. So I started an independence faction and found a very high intrigue individual (28) in the realm and sent him a gift, then invited him to my court (was lucky he had a claim so he took my invite,) made him spymaster, and had him scheme in each HRE kingdom one by one.Įventually, like within a couple of years, I had every kingdom in the HRE in my faction with 410% comparative strength. This was fortunate because it minimized the amount of planning I needed to do. The Independence Faction rebellion worked.īy the time I revolted there were 5 total kingdoms in the HRE. ![]()
